The Library - New Development Launch Film

The Library at 61 Rivington Street rises from the original Rivington Street branch of the New York Public Library, a 1905 Carnegie library by McKim, Mead & White. The branch held the city's first open-air reading room.

Isaac Stern Architects added a three-story glass addition above the Classical Revival base, with 11 residences inside and a roof terrace named for the original reading room.
