Maison Louis Marie opened its Silver Lake store at Sunset Junction in June 2026. Founder Marie du Petit Thouars and Los Angeles studio Via Clover planned it as a run of connected rooms that read like an apartment: two-tone plaster walls and arches, silver travertine, solid oak, clay tile and blackened steel, with fabric wall panels by Ronan Bouroullec and lighting by Volker Haug.

The brand takes its name from her ancestor, the 18th-century French botanist Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars.

The four-minute film pairs an interview with the founder with handheld 4:3 footage shot on vintage Leica R lenses.
