One West Drive | Excelsior, Minnesota
A new community development in downtown Excelsior, built on the former site of city hall. One West Drive combines rowhomes, apartments, and public amenities, all wrapped around a private interior courtyard with a pool, spa, gym, and shared outdoor space. Public parking lives underground. The building opens right up to the street but offers privacy inside. It’s walkable, quiet, and surrounded by shops, restaurants, and the harbor.
This was a two-day shoot focused on natural light and movement. Drone and gimbal work helped tie the architecture to its setting, from downtown Excelsior to the waterfront. No interviews—just the story of a place told through visuals.
It already had strong sales, but the clients wanted a piece that showed lifestyle and walkability. What stood out to me was the courtyard and how the apartments face inward. It felt almost European. The video became part of the project’s identity and helped shape how people saw the neighborhood.
